Oakleigh Grammar Delegation to Round Square International Conference – “Beyond the Dunes”

We are excited that a delegation from Oakleigh Grammar will be attending the Round Square International Conference in Dubai, Beyond the Dunes. This prestigious global gathering brings together students from across the world to collaborate, learn, and grow as leaders of the future.

Throughout the week, our students will be immersed in unique cultural and experiential learning opportunities, where their spirit of adventure, internationalism, and service will be challenged and strengthened. The conference includes keynote speakers, workshops, service projects, and cultural exchanges, encouraging students to develop a deeper understanding of global issues while forming meaningful connections with peers from different countries.

This is an incredible opportunity for our students to represent Oakleigh Grammar on the international stage, embracing the Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service.

Year 5 – World Wide Show and Tell

On Tuesday 9 September, our Year 5 students took part in a World Wide Show and Tell, connecting virtually with students from across the globe. This exciting opportunity allowed our students to share their own creative work while also learning about different cultures and traditions.

Facilitated by Mr Gregory Watt and supported by  Mr Dylan Sendeckyj, the students proudly presented their highly imaginative poems on the theme “What We Eat for Breakfast.” From playful verses to thoughtful reflections, their poetry captured both the ordinary and the extraordinary ways we start the day.

Equally inspiring was the chance to listen with curiosity as students from other countries shared their own breakfast menus, sparking conversation, laughter, and appreciation for cultural diversity.

This was a wonderful experience for Year 5, celebrating creativity, global connections, and the joy of learning together.
