ELC

We were delighted to host our recent Fathers and Special Friends Morning Tea, a beautiful celebration filled with heartfelt moments. Children shared songs, stories, and classroom activities with their dads and special guests, creating lasting memories together.
Our special visitors were treated to croissants and refreshments, and were gifted thoughtful, handmade creations crafted with care and love by the children. We extend our sincere thanks to all the wonderful dads and special people who joined us, it was your presence that made the morning so meaningful, highlighting the strength of connection and community within our ELC.
We also recently welcomed Myuna Mobile Farm for two engaging visits that offered our children rich, hands-on learning experiences with a variety of animals, including goats, lambs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and even a turtle!
These immersive encounters nurtured the children’s curiosity about the natural world and deepened their understanding of living things. Through gentle interactions and guided conversations, the children showed kindness, empathy, and respect, while learning to care for the animals by feeding and grooming them.
It was a joyful and enriching experience, one that beautifully reflects our commitment to fostering compassionate, curious, and respectful learners.
Enjoy a restful term three break!

Celebrating the arrival of Spring in Grevillea
As the warmer weather has arrived, we begun to share books about the signs of spring. As we set off for our fortnightly nature walk the children were excited to notice some of those signs of spring along the way. Each time they saw blossom on the cherry trees, snowdrops growing on the nature strip, spring flowers and birds nests in the trees, we stopped so that the children had the opportunity to touch, smell, make observations, share their knowledge and ask questions. Once at the nature reserve, each child had a magnifying glass to see if they could find more signs of springs there too, budding plants and flowers were found, many of children were particularly keen to collect long sticks that had fallen from the trees. They decided that we could bring them back with us to make a cherry tree for our classroom, which they did by creating tissue paper flowers to attach to their sticks, they also created their own individual spring flowers, to add a touch of spring to our classroom too.
Additionally, last week the children were excited to be able to meet some spring babies in person, as Myuna farm came to ELC and brought along lambs, a baby goat, bunny rabbits and many more animals. The children embraced the opportunity to touch, hold, feed and brush them, their joy in this experience was wonderful to see!!
