The Arts and Design

Congratulations to the Middle School Cast of Pirates!
Congratulations to the amazing cast and crew of Pirates! on delivering a spectacular Middle School Production. The students truly shone on stage, showcasing their talents in singing, acting, and collaboration, and bringing this lively musical to life with energy and confidence.
The performance was nothing short of a sophisticated display of musical theatre that elevated the Performing Arts at Oakleigh Grammar and set an inspiring precedent for future productions.
Well done to all involved – students, staff, and supporters – for creating a memorable theatrical experience that celebrated creativity, teamwork, and excellence in performance.
Oakleigh Grammar Instrumental Soirée
Our recent Oakleigh Grammar Instrumental Soirée was a wonderful celebration of music and student achievement. Students from across the Junior and Middle Schools took to the stage to showcase their individual progress in learning an instrument.
Performing to a warm and supportive audience, students demonstrated not only their developing musicianship but also their dedication, confidence, and joy in making music. The evening highlighted the hard work of our young musicians and the encouragement of our instrumental staff, creating a memorable occasion for performers and families alike.

Junior School Art
I am delighted to share some photos from Session 2 of our Ceramics Art Incursion, where ceramic artist Diana Bafi guided students in extending their knowledge of clay techniques and supported them in bringing their ideas to life. The project fostered student voice, choice, and ownership as students selected their preferred medium and explored the theme “Animals and Pets.” They also took on leadership roles as ushers, monitors, resource managers, and pack-up leaders, ensuring the incursion ran smoothly. Parents were invited to experience this journey through our Behind the Classroom Door initiative, and it was wonderful to see their enthusiastic participation alongside their children, with many expressing gratitude for being part of their child’s learning experience.
