BEEP TEST CHALLENGE

On Tuesday 20 April the school community once again crowded into the gym to watch the annual Beep Test Challenge. This is an event where the best beep testers from each form in Years 7-9 are invited to compete against each other for the glory of being the Junior Schools best Beep Tester!

It was an exciting event with over 45 students participating and most of the Junior School cheering them on. With some impressive results the best of the best were crowned Beep Test Champions for 2021. Well done to Emily Ellis in Year 7 for the highest female result of level 10.2. Congratulations also to Evan Chen with level 12.5, the highest Year 7 Boys result and Leo Goldberg of Year 8 with level 12.7 with highest level overall.

YEAR 7 BASEBALL CHAMPIONS

On Friday 23 April we played Beaumaris. In the first innings, we were down 3-0 and the nerves started to kick in.

In the second innings, we realized that Brooklyn Riwaka was our best option for pitcher. Then the comeback started, Beaumaris got strike after strike and the scores were 5-3! The catcher Jesus Camacho Meza was a valuable member catching the fast balls and coaching our runners.

In each innings the batters stole bases without a single mishap. At the completion of the 3rd innings the pennant went to McKinnon 6-3.

Thanks to Mrs Hooper for taking the team in Mr McConnon’s absence.

We now progress to the regionals on Wednesday 28 April at Farm Rd.

Go McKinnon!

NEWS UPDATE!
