GSSC Swimming Carnival

On Tuesday 15th February, Greater Shepparton Secondary College held its annual Swimming Carnival at Aquamoves, Shepparton. The day was huge success with over 250 students from Years 7-12 making a splash and competing to earn valuable points for their respective houses. After a fantastic day of competitive swimming and friendly competition, it was Warrego House (Blue) who came out on top as the overall champions. Well done to all swimmers who participated and congratulations to the following students who were named Age Group Champions for the day:

The Best Performances of the day went to Cooper Symes and Meriam Khalyssa Firdaus Nelson. Both Cooper and Meriam won all five of their events. Cooper also set five new records and Meriam (who had to break her own records from the previous year) set two new records this year. Well done on a fantastic effort Cooper and Meriam!

 

Congratulations to all the Age Group Champions and good luck to all swimmers moving on to the next stage. The GMDSSV Swimming Championships will be held next Tuesday 1st March at Aquamoves, Shepparton.
