From the Leadership Team

Dear Families,

We are now into our fourth week of living and learning in our new College. Processes, routines and expectations continue to be implemented, evaluated and reviewed, and the Leadership team thanks our families and the community for the support shown. Your feedback has been appreciated and helps inform our decision making.

We now feel that students and staff are accustomed to the layout of the buildings and the expected behaviours and routines, that create a calm and productive learning environment, are beginning to be well established.

We are now ready to demonstrate commitment to one of the Greater Shepparton Secondary College mission statements: to partner with parents, industry, further education and the broader community.

Partnering will now be a focus thanks to the relaxed Covid Operating Guidelines which allow more visitors to our school, more excursions and incursions, more connections with our local industry and other service providers.

Partnering and connecting with our families is a priority as we build those very important relationships. Your family will be receiving phone calls from your child’s Home Group teacher, welcoming you to our school, sharing their attendance data and asking you to attend one of our Welcome BBQ Evenings.

We are keen to establish strong and meaningful connections with all of our families and for many this may be the first opportunity you have had to visit our school, walk into classrooms and meet your child’s teachers. You are encouraged to attend these evenings and we look forward to meeting you.
