Around the classrooms

The Know Your Roots team have commenced visits to Year 7 Humanities classrooms. They will be delivering a Pasifika cultural curriculum during Term 1, with the focus on Mediterranean Cultures in Term 2!

As part of the building & construction class, Mr Exton and Mr Kelly had the students engage in constructing bench blocks. These blocks will help protect the new woodwork benches in the Enterprise Building. This is a great example of student's engaging in practical work to help develop skills as well as benefit their school.

String Ensemble rehearse on Fridays after school. They really enjoyed using the new band room for their first rehearsal! Stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass) are offered as part of our instrumental music program. Interested Year 7 and 8 students should see Mrs Drinnan or Mr Gallacher for further information.

Kerry Kelton's cooking class made honey mustard chicken salad (yum!). Shebaz and Matt helped with the demonstration.
