Japanese Online Exchange with Students in Japan

On October 20th Mornington Secondary College had the opportunity to participate in an online exchange with students in Japan.

Thirty students from year 7, 8 and 9 enjoyed a sushi afternoon tea then met with students from a variety of junior high schools from the Sumida District in Tokyo.

While students from both countries were a little shy to begin with, they soon gained confidence and presented an introduction to their town and their school life.

This was followed by a question and answer session, covering topics such as hobbies, sports, transport and food.

All the students enjoyed chatting, and it was wonderful to see our students speaking confidently in Japanese.

They represented our school well, and we are very proud of them.
