Outdoor & Environmental Studies

Grampians Camp

As a part of Unit 2 Outdoor and Environmental Studies (OES), students covered a range of topics related to scientific understandings of specific outdoor environments, artistic, indigenous Australian and historical understandings of specific outdoor environments and impacts of technology on outdoor environments.

To consolidate these topics, students participated in a 4-day camp to the Grampians, participating in rock climbing, bushwalking, visits to indigenous rock art sites and Halls Gap Regional Zoo as well as further developing basic camping and cooking skills.

Due to the size of the cohort, the students were split into two camps running one after the other.

The students worked collabotatively tothegther in a positive mindset and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, being in the outdoors experiencing and learning new skills.

Thank you to everyone for all of the behind the scenes work involved in such a big camp and the teachers who attended.
