Headspace

Headspace now have a Work and Study Program (online, free and voluntary) where young people can be linked with a mentor who will support them for 3 months or longer (if needed) in regards to getting a job or starting a career pathway etc. If young people have a mental illness and are finding getting work is challenging, this is a great service for them however they don’t need to have a mental illness to access the program.

Koorie Emerging Leadership Day

Living Culture workshops were presented around plants and what they are used for, as well as spinning a fire stick to create a campfire.

Indigenous artist Kyle Armstrong enabled the student leaders to engage in art and mindfulness activities.

It was a great day for Mornington students to participate in.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Day

Our wellbeing team surprised the staff and students with a smoothie making, health and wellbeing activity.

Staff and students thoroughly enjoyed making smoothies by riding the specially designed bikes. Mango and pineapple smoothie or banana smoothie, both were delicious.

Thank you to the wellbeing team for all of your hard work in preparation and on the day.

It was a highlight and great way to get together and have a laugh.
