Interact Team: Fundraising for a SkyHydrant!
The Interact SkyHydrant Raffle
A SkyHydrant is a modern water filtration system that can be installed in remote areas and filter upwards of 1,000 litres of water per hour, enough for 500-1000 people per day, and can be modified to hold and produce even more. It is incredibly cost-effective: every dollar spent translates to a stable source of clean drinking water for one child, every year.
Throughout 2023, Interact students have been fundraising toward purchasing a SkyHydrant for a community in Bhutan that currently lacks a clean and stable water supply. Thanks to generous donations from Rotary benefactors and ur recent fundraising efforts, Interact is more than $3,200 closer to our $5,000 goal to purchase a SkyHydrant. This raffle will help us get even closer to achieving that goal!
The raffle is slated to be drawn during the third week of Term 2, on Friday 12 May, and there are quality prize packages on offer. Please use the link/QR code on this page to review the cause, find more details on prizes, and purchase digital tickets. Members of the community who have already generously bought physical tickets will be included in this draw. (Ts&Cs through the link.)

William Adams Kit Packing Events
On the afternoon of Tuesday 14 March, we welcomed Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise and Peninsula 2.0 to the Senior Campus to assist the Interactors in our latest major fundraising event packing William Adams kits. Every kit packed translated to a dollar toward the SkyHydrant, and we were in possession of enough materials to make up to 2,000 kits. Students worked alongside staff and the Rotarians to prepare 2,000 canisters and complete packing over 400 kits in a mere 90 minutes!
Another successful kit event on Wednesday 29 March saw us complete a total of 1,800 kits, with the final 200 packed and boxed by students in the Frankston High School Museum on Friday 31 March.
Many thanks to all volunteers, including the Principal Team, who generously took time out of their busy schedules to drop in during one of these events to pack some kits, and connect with the students and Rotarians.
Looking Ahead
Watch this space early in Term 2 for our first major collaboration with the excellent SLC Team on a donation drive for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. Exciting times ahead!
