Junior School News/Events

Dear Junior School Parents/Carers and Students

Year 7 Meet and Greet

Thank you to all those who attended our Year 7 Meet and Greet on Monday 27 March. It was great to meet many families and discuss how your children have settled into life at Frankston High School. Thank you to Mrs Sharee Dew, Ms Samantha Cody, Ms Catherine Kyriakos and Ms Phoebe Macreadie for organising the evening, and to all staff who supported and were in attendance.

Partnership Between Home And School

Our motto is Optima Semper (Best Always); we expect students to work hard, but will match their hard work with a high level of support and care. To be able to have equally high expectations and to be able to provide high support, there are many ways you can stay connected with the school and your child’s learning, such as:

  • Checking Compass regularly including Learning Tasks, Attendance, News Feed and Events
  • Reading progress and semester reports via Compass and reflecting on these with your child
  • Attending semesterly Parent Student Teacher Conferences
  • Reading the Frankston High School Newsletter (well done, you are already doing this!)
  • Checking your child’s diary for homework, upcoming assessments, and other key school information
  • Connecting with Frankston High School parent community Facebook pages
  • Attending school events like information evenings, music performances and our school production

We are truly grateful for the support of our parent community and encourage you to contact us throughout the year as we work in partnership to support your child.

Junior School Legends

This term, teachers have been nominating students exemplifying our school values as Junior School Legends. A record 254 of our Year 7 and 8 students have been nominated as Junior School Legends, just this term! Congratulations to these students for a great start to 2023!

School Tours

We are looking forward to commencing tours for prospective families in the first week of Term 2. Bookings can be made via the TryBooking link on our website.
