Principal's Message

Hello HPS families!

Here we are at the end of Term 1. It has been wonderful to see everyone back in the swing of things and for the calendar to be filling up with so many learning activities and events.

PARENT VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Thank you to the participants in the volunteer training on 24th March. We intend to run another session in Term 2, so if you missed out stay tuned for more information. All family members wanting to be volunteers at HPS need to please complete the training and have a valid Working with Children's Check that needs to be supplied to the office.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS TERM 2

Save the date - Week 2, Term 2 will be Parent Teacher Interviews on Monday 1st May and Tuesday 2nd May 3.30pm - 6.45pm. Compass will open for bookings on day one Term 2 - Monday 24th April remaining open until Friday 28th April.

KEEPING THE SCHOOL SAFE OVER THE TERM BREAK

During the summer holidays we had many opportunistic visitors to the school resulting in break ins, damage and vandalism. I ask our community to please support us by moving on and/or reporting any unwanted visitors that you may see on our school grounds during this holiday period. OSHC Holiday Program will be running during the break, but we have often sighted teenagers and other visitors onsite after hours, causing damage. Please also talk to your children/families about not climbing onto buildings/roofs as well, as this is a very popular, but dangerous practice.

I ask that you please encourage your children to play in spaces other than the school grounds during the holidays.

LAST DAY OF TERM 1 - Thursday 6th April

Just a reminder that student dismissal time at the end of term is 2.30pm. OSHC will be available from that time.

Have a terrific break everyone and I will see you all in Week 3!
