Medicare – Student Eyecare Program
Medicare – Student Eyecare Program
The school is pleased to announce that the Student Eyecare Program will be running at the school in Term 1, 2023.
An optometrist will be onsite during school hours to provide students with a free comprehensive eye examination that is covered through Medicare Australia.
1 in 6 students have eye conditions that go undetected. This is due to the high level of visual demand on their eyes from books, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Every student will receive a full report about their eye health and a prescription will be provided if glasses are required. The prescription can be taken to any optical store to get the glasses made.
Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity. To sign up, register online at: https://forms.gle/h5piLnWeL2JBdeX9A

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund applications (CSEF)
Applications close at the end of Term 2 each year.
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you have a valid means-tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.
Payment amounts this year are $125 for eligible primary school students. Payments are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions and sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
This funding has been made available to support students to participate in school trips, camps, and sporting activities. This funding can also be used in conjunction with any funding accrued from previous years.
Applications are now open. Please bring your Health Care Card to the office and complete an application form.
You can also download the form, and find out more about the program and eligibility, on the Department of Education and Training’s Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund web page.
Check with the school office if you are unsure, and please return completed forms to the school office as soon as possible.
