School Council Elections

Nominations are now open for Parent Members

An election is to be conducted for members of the school council of Hillsmeade Primary School. 

 

Nomination forms may be obtained from the school office and must be lodged by 12.00pm Monday 13 Feb 2023. 

 

If sufficient nominations are received to require an election, voting will close at 4.00pm Monday 27 Feb 2023.

 

There are four (4) parent positions vacant and no DET staff positions vacant. The vacancies are for positions to be held for two years

 

Membership of school council comes with a number of responsibilities including attendance at meetings, and parents are encouraged to read about school councils when nominating (see Compass post).

 

The election timeline (see Compass post) follows the DET guidelines for election process. 

 

The first meeting for the new council will be on Tuesday March 7, and council must meet at least 8 times each year.

 

Election oversight will be Business Manager Stewart Johnson.
