YEAR 3 AND 4 GRANDPARENTS AND FRIENDS' MORNING

Thank you to all the grandparents and friends of our Year 3 and 4 students who visited their grandchildren at the College today. The morning began with a Chapel service, where several Year 3s and 4s shared why their grandparents are important to them, followed by a delicious morning tea.

The students then enjoyed some time with their grandparents and friends in their classrooms, where they shared highlights of their learning, competed in a quiz together and showed what they have been up to so far this year. It was a very special morning for our staff, students and guests.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

In Term 1 our Pre-Primary to Year 4 students were given the opportunity to participate in the Jump Rope for Heart program. The aim of this program is to promote healthy hearts through regular exercise, as well as learning a very worthwhile fundamental movement skill. Over a short period of time the students demonstrated advanced skills, showed a love of skipping and developed strong foundational skills. In addition, the students were given the opportunity to fundraise for the Heart Foundation. This was not a compulsory part of the program; however, a number of students set about fundraising for this very worthwhile cause.

Special mention must be given to Ananya Aggarwal (Year 2C) who raised $1554.80 and was the top fundraiser in WA! Jessica Gawthrope (Year 2B) who raised $257.84, and Sedley Hoar (Year 4M) who raised $75.76. They were presented with their prizes (donated by the Jump Rope for Heart organisation) by Ms Penelope Crane.

Well done to all students for their participation and dedication to this program.
