ELECTIVE : 

SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION –

Year 10

What is the subject about?

If you have an interest in science and want the opportunity to explore an area that you are passionate about then this elective is for you! In the scientific investigation elective, you will be learning about how scientists develop research problems, create sound experiments, collect and analyse data and communicate their research. You will be developing a logbook of activities that build these skills before producing your own investigation. Many of the skills and knowledge you will develop in this elective will be beneficial if you study any science subjects in Year 11 and 12.

  • Analyse and evaluate data and investigation methods
  • Construct evidence-based arguments and draw conclusions
