Year 10 Science
In Year 10 Science, students have the opportunity to explore one term of chemistry, biology, physics and earth science. Students will predict how future applications of science and technology may affect people’s lives; including the use of renewable and non-renewable energy sources, water scarcity and the greenhouse effect. Students will explain the role of DNA and genes in genetic inheritance and examine evidence for natural selection and evolution. Students will undertake various practical activities to write balanced chemical equations, summarise chemical reactions and examine the relationship between distance, speed, acceleration, mass and force to explain motion.
