ELECTIVE: Wild Earth

Year 10

What is the subject about?

This Year 10 elective covers terrorism, crime, natural and man-made disasters, and provides a comprehensive understanding of interconnected threats to global security.  Students will explore human rights, civil liberties, humanitarian principles, and the rule of law in the context of emergency response, criminal justice, and counterterrorism operations. Students will conduct research and gain insights into the psychological, legal, social, and cultural dimensions of resilience, recovery, and trauma management. This multidisciplinary approach equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to building safer, more resilient communities and a more secure world.
