Congratulations to Ignis for yet another victory in the Cultural Olympiad. The standard was exceptionally high this year and the atmosphere of the event was on amazing. Well done to all involved.

Blahopřejeme koleji Ignis k dalšímu vítězství v Kulturní olympiádě. Laťka byla letos velmi vysoko a atmosféra na akci byla úžasná. Všichni zúčastnění odvedli skvělou práci.

Winner of the Music Category - VENTUS

When we were performing our music piece I felt a warm, exciting feeling. I could see and hear how proud everyone in our band and in the audience was. The Cultural Olympiad performance definitely brought us closer and has become a great memory.

Když jsme vystupovali s naší skladbou, cítila jsem hřejivý pocit nadšení. Viděla a slyšela  jsem, jak byli všichni v naší kapele a v publiku hrdí. Naše píseň přednesená na Kulturní olympiádě nás rozhodně sblížila a budeme na ni rádi vzpomínat.

Winner of the Dance Category - IGNIS

The atmosphere of the Cultural Olympiad this year was wonderful, especially during the dance performances, when everyone cheered, no matter which house was performing. 

Atmosféra Kulturní olympiády byla letos báječná, zvláště při tanečních vystoupeních, kdy fandili všichni, bez ohledu na to, která kolej zrovna vystupovala.

When showcasing the videos, the video quality was much higher than anticipated. All sounds were heard clearly from every seat in the venue. Additionally the organisation was very clear (the audience always knew which house was performing).

Kvalita příspěvků do kategorie video byla mnohem vyšší, než se očekávalo. Zvuk fungoval skvěle a vše bylo jasně slyšet ze všech míst v publiku. Organizace byla velmi přehledná a diváci vždy věděli, kterou kolej přehrávané video reprezentuje.

Winning of the Freestyle Category - AQUA

Even though we wanted to win the freestyle and support our house, our No.1 goal was to make the audience dance, sing and most importantly to put on a show students would remember. The atmosphere of the Cultural Olympiad was unbelievably supportive and all the houses performed wonderfully in all the categories.

I když jsme chtěli kategorii freestyle vyhrát a podpořit naši kolej, naším cílem číslo 1 bylo roztančit a rozezpívat publikum a především předvést show, kterou si studenti zapamatují. Atmosféra Kulturní olympiády byla neuvěřitelně podporující a všechny koleje si ve všech kategoriích vedly báječně.

It was wonderful experiencing the real live Cultural Olympiad and the atmosphere o

f the theatre and the audience during the performance were awesome. I really enjoyed the Cultural Olympiad and it was a great opportunity to try new skills and get to know more people from our house, and also from the school.

Bylo úžasné zažít skutečnou Kulturní olympiádu naživo a atmosféra mezi diváky v sále byla úžasná. Kulturní olympiáda se mi moc líbila a byla to skvělá příležitost vyzkoušet si nové dovednosti a poznat více studentů ze své koleje a z celé školy.

Artist of the Year Category - VENTUS

Ukrainian song/Ukrajinská píseň

The auditorium was a sea of light in support of Ukraine, as Mr. Švéda and Mr. Wyllyams sung "Soldat" (The Soldier) at the end of the Cultural Olympiad. It is a song about the sad plight of soldiers at war. Composed by 5nizza, from Ukraine, it acquired a new powerful meaning in the past six weeks.

Hlediště se proměnilo v mořem světel na podporu Ukrajiny, když pan Švéda a pan Wyllyams na závěr Kulturní olympiády zpívali skladu "Soldat" (Voják). Je to píseň o smutné situaci vojáků ve válce. Složila ji skupina 5nizza z Ukrajiny a v posledních šesti týdnech získala nový silný význam.
