Our Class of ‘24 Hospitality student Emma has started her own mobile coffee business! Emma was Cafe manager at CHS for Cafe24 during the Cowra Vs Camden Exchange in 2024. She designed the menu, coffee cards and led the team to serve food and beverages to staff and parents during the 3-day event.
We had the pleasure of Emma attending the Staff Development Day at the start of the term to serve us delicious coffee & muffins. Congratulations Emma, we are so proud of this massive achievement.

Our Year 12 Hospitality students recently put their practical skills to the test, mastering the art of deep-frying as they prepared delicious tempura prawns. Using the deep fryer safely and effectively, students focused on achieving the perfect light, crispy batter and presenting their dishes to industry standards. See the photo and video of Matthew and Charlie in action. The results were outstanding - beautifully plated tempura prawns that showcased both skill and attention to detail.
The accompanying photos capture Hayley, Zara, Jye, Blake, Hayden and Brayden with their finished product; a true reflection of their hard work and growing confidence in the kitchen.

Our Year 8 students have kicked off their new Agriculture rotation with plenty of hands-on learning down at the school farm. They’ve been busy planting their own vegetable crops - including spinach and lettuce - and are looking forward to watching their hard work grow over the coming weeks.
Students have also enjoyed spending time caring for the school’s friendly chickens and getting to know our newest farm residents, the steers Waffles and Winston.
It’s been a great start to the rotation, with plenty of enthusiasm (and a few muddy boots) along the way!
