Wordslayers (English)

In English we have started the Term with a strong focus on consistency, engagement, and the importance of being in class. Whilst this means we have not been able to do anything ‘flashy’ thus far, rest assured that some cool projects are in store for our students! 

Our Junior students are hard at work exploring how texts are created and how they can participate in their creation. With short texts, plays, and even songs being studied for their unique qualities there is still so much to learn! 

Year 7 - Learning that they’re poets, creating representations of the world around them! 

Year 8 - Harnessing their inner Bard to make all the world a stage studying plays. 

Year 9 - Learning the power of protest through song to initiate change in their world. 

Year 10 - Triumph from tragedy, a challenging, nuanced approach to the human experience. 

Our new Year 12s have commenced their HSC subjects and in English are studying multimodal texts to explore the human experience.
