Congratulations to Our HSC Music 1 & Visual Arts Students!

A huge congratulations to our Year 12 Music 1 and Visual Arts students for completing their written exams! Your hard work, creativity, and dedication have been inspiring to watch. As we celebrate your achievements, we now turn our attention to preparing our next two cohorts - the largest groups we’ve had in these subjects for several years. Exciting times ahead!

That’s TOPS!

Our talented Entertainment students took the reins for this year’s TOPStacular - The Oaks Public School’s extra-curricular performing arts event. Over two busy bump-in days, they prepared the stage, managed lighting and sound, and ensured every detail was ready for the big day. On Tuesday, students ran a smooth technical rehearsal and two live shows, demonstrating incredible teamwork as stagehands, backstage crew, and technical operators. Special thanks to Mr Franzman and Mr French for overseeing the process and supporting our students throughout. From setup to pack-down, the students’ dedication and collaboration made the event a resounding success!

Art SMART Success – Year 10 Students Represent Camden High School

Over Week 2 and Week 3 of Term 4, two of our talented Year 10 Visual Arts students – Ally and Charli Carless – were selected to attend Art Smart, an intensive 4-day artmaking workshop for High Potential and Gifted students in Visual Arts across NSW public schools.

To begin the program, students attended an excursion to the Art Gallery of NSW and the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney to gather inspiration for their studio workshops held the following week at Campbelltown Arts Centre

The workshop concluded with an exhibition of student artworks and presentation of certificates on Wednesday 29 October, showcasing the exceptional creativity, skill and innovation students developed throughout the program.

We are incredibly proud of Ally and Charli for representing Camden High School so beautifully, demonstrating artistic excellence, commitment to their practice and creative leadership.

Year 10 Visual Arts Students Exhibit in the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award

Four of our Year 10 Visual Arts students Chloe Turvey, Abby Butcher, Ally Carless and Charli Carless proudly represented Camden High School in the prestigious Fisher’s Ghost Art Award this year. Now in its 63rd year, the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award is a major annual art award and exhibition held alongside Campbelltown’s iconic Festival of Fisher’s Ghost. Our students each submitted a lino print artwork exploring a social issue of their choice.

This experience gave students a genuine opportunity to participate in a professional exhibition environment, allowing them to share their ideas with a wider audience and contribute to an important cultural event in Campbelltown’s history. We congratulate our talented Year 10 artists for their dedication, creativity and commitment to extending their practice beyond the classroom. We encourage our school community to support our young artists by visiting the exhibition at Campbelltown Arts Centre and celebrating their work in person.
