Creativity has been on top of the list in Technology.

Students from Classes A and B have been busy mastering the art of woodwork, diving into the exciting challenge of crafting their very own wooden boxes and discovering the magic of hinges. Meanwhile, Class C have shown amazing focus and skill, following step-by-step instructions to build wooden slide boxes, then bringing their creations to life with stunning painting and decorating techniques all while mastering the high-tech Cricut machine!

But it’s not just about hands-on fun; our students have also been exploring the all-important design process, learning how planning and precision are key to crafting their fantastic projects.

We can’t wait to see their finished products to see where their creativity and skills have taken them.

Wellbeing

Am I angry, or disappointed? Is this sickness, or is it anxiety?

Across the year, we have been developing our emotional literacy. Lately, we have been learning how to put some distance between us and our recurring thoughts with some mindfulness.

Recurring thoughts can keep us from moving on especially if they are negative thoughts.

Sport

The students have been very busy with sport where they have done various rotations during the year, the Year 7 students have been participating in the following sports, usually,  beach sports, court sports, bowling. The students are currently doing walking where they walk around the Camden Bike Track, at times they have a break and have a play in the park. This year the Year 8 students had the opportunity to pick their own sports along with both Year 9 and Year 10. Some of the sports that the students have chosen include court sports, bowling, tennis, plus fitness, table tennis just to name a few.

The students have enjoyed their year in sport and learning about new sports.

Extra/whole Faculty ...

In Week 1 of Term 4, our students embarked on an exciting excursion to Picton, where they developed an impressive range of skills including community engagement, problem-solving, money management, and effective communication.

During their visit, students explored the charming town of Picton, enjoyed a captivating cultural performance at the Performing Arts Centre, and put their budgeting skills to the test by carefully managing their money to purchase tasty treats for recess and lunch. Their outstanding behaviour did not go unnoticed with members of the public praising our students’ excellent conduct throughout the day.

We are incredibly proud of our students for representing Camden High School so positively within the wider community!
