INVESTING IN OUR SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Our School Council was pleased to hear about recent improvements to our student toilet facilities, designed to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for students. It is another important investment in our College and the everyday experience of our students. With the upgrades now complete, we hope students will take pride in these renovated spaces and help keep them looking their best for everyone.

A FIRST LOOK INSIDE OUR NEWEST LEARNING SPACES

School Council members were fortunate to receive a guided tour of our new building with Assistant Principal, Michelle Schweiller, before holding their meeting in one of the building’s new meeting spaces. It was wonderful to see the completed facilities firsthand and gain a real sense of the opportunities these contemporary spaces will provide for our students and staff. After watching the building take shape, being able to step inside and experience the finished spaces was an exciting milestone.

NAPLAN RESULTS WORTH CELEBRATING

Assistant Principal, Kate Logan, presented our latest NAPLAN data to Council and there was plenty to celebrate. The results showed particularly strong student growth, providing an encouraging picture of the progress our students are making in their learning. Congratulations to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic outcome.

STUDENTS TURNING IDEAS INTO ACTION

Three groups of Senior School students presented fundraising proposals for School Council consideration and Council members were incredibly impressed by the level of detail and preparation that had gone into them. The students had clearly considered not only what they wanted to achieve, but how they would make their ideas work. Their preparation paid off, with Council delighted to approve all three proposals. A wonderful example of student initiatives and leadership in action.

WELCOMING INTERNATIONAL VISITORS TO PSC

Our International Student Program recently welcomed 13 students from China to Pakenham Secondary College. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for our students and visitors to share experiences and learn more about each other’s cultures and school lives. Opportunities such as these extend learning well beyond the classroom and help our students develop the global outlook that is increasingly important in our connected world. We were delighted to welcome our visitors to PSC and hope they left with some very special memories of their time with us.
