Regional Chess Tournament Success

On Wednesday, 5th August, 15 students from our Chess Club represented the College at the Northern Star Chess Regional Tournament, held at Beaconhills College Pakenham Campus.

Our students performed exceptionally well throughout the day, finishing equal first with Beaconhills College, with teams from both its Pakenham and Berwick campuses competing.

The tournament featured strong competition from schools across the region, including Waverley Christian College, Rivercrest Christian College, Bairnsdale Secondary College, Nossal High School, St Margaret’s Berwick Grammar Officer Campus, Berwick Fields Primary School and Thomas Mitchell Primary School, along with Oz Chess.

This outstanding result marks the second time this year that our Chess team has achieved such fantastic success, reflecting the incredible skills and commitment of our students.
