Important Information

Ballarat Wildlife Park: TOMORROW

We'd like to provide you with some details for our upcoming excursion to the Ballarat Wildlife Park, TOMORROW.

Prep children are required at school earlier than normal. We ask that all Prep students are dropped off as per normal to line up at their classrooms at 7:40am. This is the time and place for you to say your goodbyes. We will be getting on the bus at 7:50am.

If you are feeling anxious about your child's first excursion please hide this as best you can with a big smile, as a worried face can unsettle or trigger worries for your child.

The bus will leave school at 8:00am sharp. We will return at approx. 3pm. A message will be sent via Compass when we depart the Ballarat Wildlife Park to confirm an estimated arrival time back at school.

Please only pack the following (labelled) in your child's school backpack:

- lunchbox with snack and lunch

- water bottle

All children must wear school uniform, comfortable walking shoes and bring their jumper- Ballarat is colder than here!

There are to be no toys or spending money, and reader bags are not required. All individual medications and first aid is packed and supplied from the office at school. Please let your child’s teacher know if your child gets bus/car sickness or has been car sick in the past.

Be Awesome Day:

Friday 30th October will be our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’! This year, our awesome kids will be running a ‘Show Day’ as part of our celebrations and we welcome you to join in the fun!

In order for our day to be very awesome and super fun, we will need lots of help from our wonderful parent community.

The Preps are running three stalls: Guess the jelly beans, lucky sticks and face painting.

We require the following donations:

  • Jelly Beans
  • Glass Jars with lids
  • Individually wrapped chocolates
  • Blocks of chocolate
  • Indivdually wrapped lollies

Early next term we will ask for parent volunteers, please keep an eye out.

Toys at school

A friendly reminder that students are asked not to bring toys to school unless it has been pre-arranged with their teacher for a specific learning activity or special event. While we understand that children enjoy sharing their favourite toys, bringing them to school can often lead to big emotions if they are lost, damaged, or if other children would like to play with them. They can also become a distraction from learning and play. If there is ever a special occasion where toys are needed, your child's teacher will let you know in advance.
