Upcoming events at OSHC- 

End of Term Party- Friday 18th September 

National Child Protection week: 5th to 11th September 

Children enjoyed a new recipe; with Billie's help we made burrito bowls. There were heaps of healthy ingredients- corn, beans, lettuce and tomatoes.

Chess Competition- we had 3 chess boards going at the same time. 10 Children showed problem solving, concentration, communication. Building their resilience encouraging children to learn from mistakes and trying different strategies. Some children even didn't know how to play Chess but gave it a go with help from their peers.

Lego Ten-piece challenge- James and Jude worked together making a monster and a robot, James said to make it a 5-piece challenge next time.

Menu making- Children were encouraged and supported to make menus for our imagination zone when the cafe is opened. Ziggy, Ellie and Edith's menu sounded very appealing to the customers and drawings of foods were included.

A Friendly reminder that Children are asked not to bring toys to OSHC unless it has been pre-arranged by Service Leader. Bringing toys into OSHC can lead to big emotions when they are lost or damaged. We have discussed this during our Yarning circle.

We also have a survey for parents and families; there is a $100 voucher prize give away.

We have a flyer with the QR code at our main entrance, at the sign in/out desk and I've also attached it to this newsletter. Thank you to parents who have already completed this.

A friendly reminder to parents- Updating child enrolment of new address, phone number and medical information & this can be done on the parent portal or calling our customer care team on 1300 105 343 Monday to Friday 5am-9pm, 7am- 9pm weekends.
