SHINE

Senior High Investment in Next-Gen Education

Introducing SHINE – Empowering Our Senior Students for Success

At Wyndham College, we are committed to providing every student with the tools they need to thrive in their senior years and beyond. We are excited to introduce SHINE – Senior High Investment in Next-Gen Education, a new initiative designed to support our students in developing essential skills for academic and future success.

Through SHINE, we will:

  • Assess Key Skills – We are implementing baseline data collection in Executive Functioning, Literacy, and Numeracy (EFL&N) to understand our students' strengths and areas for growth.
  • Tailor Support – Using this data, we will develop & implement additional support.
  • Enhance Teaching & Learning – Our teachers will engage in professional learning.

By implementing SHINE, Wyndham College continues to enhance our role as senior subject specialists, ensuring students have access to cutting-edge learning strategies that prepare them for success in the HSC and beyond.

We are incredibly grateful to Australian Schools Plus for awarding Wyndham College a multi-year grant to implement SHINE over the next three years. This generous support will enable us to make a transformational impact on student learning, ensuring that every student has access to innovative teaching and personalised support.

How Can Parents Get Involved?

We value the partnership between school and home and welcome parent involvement in supporting SHINE. If you would like to contribute, provide feedback, or learn more about the program, please contact Ann-Maree Ager at ann-maree.ager@det.nsw.edu.au

We look forward to working together to empower our students and help them SHINE!
