WELLBEING @ WYNDHAM
Wellbeing Update
Our team is a large diverse group of staff here to ensure students are provided with support for their mental health and wellbeing. Our team consists of :
Health Issues
Year 11 students with serious health conditions have been provided with paperwork that must be completed and returned urgently. It is essential that staff and students are prepared appropriately for these medical conditions and students bring their correct medications each day, for example, EpiPens, glucose testing kits. Year 12 students updated their plans last term. If changes need to be made, please contact the relevant Year Adviser.
All asthmatic students should bring in their asthma plan and give to the front office. It is essential that students bring their puffers with them each day to ensure easy access to this important medication.
Student Assistance
If financial difficulties are creating pressure in terms of being in school uniform and paying school/course fees, then a student assistance form can be collected from either the front office or Year Advisers.
Please contact a member of our team if you have concerns.

Celebrating International Mother Language Day
On 20 February, we celebrated International Mother Language Day with a special activity. Students who could write in their mother languages volunteered to write their peers' names in different scripts, creating an exciting exchange of cultures and languages.
The event was a great way for students to showcase their linguistic skills while fostering connections and appreciation for the diverse languages spoken within our school community. It was wonderful to see students proudly sharing their heritage while others eagerly discovered new scripts - making it a fun and memorable experience for everyone.

Settling Into Our New School - students' voice
Starting at a new school can be both exciting and challenging, so over the past week, I asked some of my classmates how they’re feeling about the change. I wanted to know what they enjoy most about the school and what they still find challenging.
Everyone I spoke to agreed on one thing - they really like being here. Some said their favourite part is the free sessions, as they give students time to revise, catch up on homework, or just relax with friends. Others mentioned that they appreciate the teachers, the school buildings, and the great facilities.
When it comes to challenges, a few students mentioned that getting to school by 8am has been tough, while others find the long classes make it harder to stay fully focused.
Despite these challenges, everyone I spoke to is happy with their choice and excited for the next two years here.
Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts, including Rozhin and Rozhan, Noah, Jayden, Erfan, Yinuo, Ali, Abhai and Foad.
