From the Principal
School Excellence
At Wyndham College, we are strongly focused on achieving excellence, for our students and our staff. Our School Excellence Plan focuses on three drivers of improvement as we move towards excelling in all aspects of our school. They are school based actions that bring to life the Department of Education Plan for NSW Public Education in our community.
Our focus is:
- Student Growth and Attainment – particularly in relation to teaching the highly developed literacy and numeracy skills required by students as they work towards mastering HSC subjects.
- Student and community engagement in quality learning – by paying close attention to academic performance, wellbeing, attendance and addressing student inequity.
- Transition to further education, training and work – harnessing opportunities to develop student potential and talent through customised transition pathways.
Over the newsletters this year, we will let you know what we are doing and how we are going in our pursuit of excellence. Early next term, the Annual Report will be available, for you to read about all the things we achieved last year.
Student Voice
Did you know students at Wyndham have up to five study sessions on their timetable?
As we review our school processes in relation to study periods, our student leadership team has been actively involved in providing feedback and working with staff to ensure we have a procedures and practices that support students to achieve their learning goals. We are aiming for a system that builds on the adult learning culture, provides flexibility for student in relation to work and study and utilises the excellent teaching and support staff resources at the College. Stay tuned for updates as we progress this work.
Happy International Women's Day to all the women and girls in our community.

Exciting Proposal: Assistance Dog at Wyndham College
We are excited to announce a proposal for an Assistance Dog to be part of our college community. Assistance Dogs provide valuable support to individuals and can have a positive impact on wellbeing and engagement in learning.
Before moving forward, we want to ensure that this initiative is inclusive and considers the needs of all students and families. If you or your child has a genuine allergy or fear of dogs and you may be impacted by the presence of an Assistance Dog on campus, please let us know.
To share your concerns, please contact Deputy Principal & WHS Committee member Ann-Maree Ager at ann-maree.ager@det.nsw.edu.au by February 21st, 2025.
Your input is important in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
