As we approach the conclusion of another school year, it provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the events of the past 12 months.
This year has been a productive one, with Cranbourne East Secondary College recording its best NAPLAN results to date. Our Year 9 students demonstrated an outstanding amount of growth, and it has been wonderful to see the hard work of both students and staff paying off.
In Term 3, our annual school production was held. Mamma Mia! was a resounding success, with students and families alike enjoying a fantastic experience. As always, our local primary schools were invited to attend the performance. Thank you to all CESC students and staff who helped bring the production to life on stage.
We also saw a positive trend in the feedback received from our students and their families this year. Both our annual student survey and our parent opinion survey showed noticeable growth, with strong positive endorsement of the school. These surveys provided us with valuable insights into where we are performing well and where we can continue to improve.
Our school has had a strong focus on the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) program this year, ahead of its full introduction across the school in 2026. This program will offer positive support for students by reinforcing and rewarding expected behaviours. The end result will be safe, predictable, and supportive learning environments across Cranbourne East Secondary College.
Significant work has also been undertaken this year in our Teaching and Learning program, with a continued emphasis on classroom differentiation and the use of high-impact teaching and learning strategies by all staff. This important work will continue into 2026.
Thank you to our community for your ongoing support of the college throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you all back after the Christmas and New Year break, ready to begin another successful year.
On behalf of myself and the staff at Cranbourne East Secondary College, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
