International Baccalaureate 

Our Year 6 students are beginning one of the most important milestones of their Primary Years Programme (PYP) journey—the PYP Exhibition.

The Exhibition is a student-led inquiry where learners investigate a real-world issue they are passionate about. Through research, collaboration, and action, students apply the knowledge, skills, and IB Learner Profile attributes they have developed throughout their years in the PYP.

Families can support this journey by encouraging curiosity, asking questions about their inquiry, and celebrating the learning that happens throughout the process.

Student Reflections

Our students have already begun reflecting on their Exhibition journey and are excited about the learning ahead. Here are some of their initial thoughts:

This term the Year 6 students have started their exhibition journey. All of the Year 6 students are excited and have been placed in our groups. Very recently we found out who our mentor teachers were. All of the Year 6 students were very happy. We all have different concepts which are all unique to what we love and want to learn about and explore. We are in the middle of refining and improving our lines of inquiry and can't wait for Exhibition Week next term! We are all working so hard to get to where we want to be. It is a lot of hard work, but we are persevering to get through it all to experience this amazing learning journey. We can't wait to share all of our findings to the community who visit our booths and to have an amazing time together. 

Rylee 6A

This term marks the beginning of our Grade 6 Exhibition journey. Students have officially been placed into their groups and have started exploring ideas for their chosen topics. Exhibition is an opportunity for students to investigate an issue they care about and present their learning to the school community. We have been exploring our lines of inquiry and we have been introducing ourselves to our group members, getting to know each other and sharing our passion for similar concepts. We are looking forward to seeing it all come together at Exhibition Week.
