We will now take a large team to the Monash Division Cross Country event on Thursday, May 23rd.
BOYS INTERMEDIATE NETBALL COMPETITION
On Monday 29th April, the Year 10’s ventured out to Dandenong and competed in the intermediate boys netball competition. The team consisted of Ahan Dey, Alex Saito and Campbell Brown shooting in goals, Hunter Hayes, Jack Wright, Nash Peters, Ryan Mete and Will Amiatu running through the mid-court and River Zielinski and Jason Raymer defending. They have all been training at lunch times throughout term 1 and the results really paid off on the day. They did an amazing job winning all their games and dominated in the grand final with a win over Wheeler Hills, the final scores being 28 to 6. They really demonstrated our school values of High Expectations, Respect and Teamwork throughout the day, and we now head to Eastern Metropolitan Region on July 29th and expect to see some more amazing netball. Well done team!!
The Year 7 & 8 team participated in the same competition. With limited netball experience across the team, it took a little while for the team to gel. Despite not winning a match, pleasingly, there was improvement across the day, both individually and with how the team worked together. They were also able to get experience playing in a number of different positions and represented the school well with their effort and conduct.
