Oakleigh South Primary School Autumn Family Fete
So, what’s it all about?
It’s a fun fair – scrumptious food stalls, fun activities, craft, café, music and entertainment, and of course, amusement rides.
Everything for young and old, enjoy a great day out with the family or catch up with friends and enjoy happy times in a real party atmosphere.
The whole school is very proud of their fete – bringing out the Oakleigh South spirit and putting it on display for the whole community.
It’s all about students, families, staff and friends working together to create a great time for everyone, and raise much needed funds to support our wonderful school programs and facilities. We hope to see you there!

Home-stays for International Students Needed
We are seeking homestay families living in our local school community for students traveling here from overseas, arriving in July. These homestays would be long-term, with homestay providers receiving a weekly payment of $400.
Homestays are more than just a room to sleep, they offer the safety, security and welcoming environment of a real family.
Homestay families go through strict screening and monitoring processes by the Department of Education. New homestay providers would participate in an interview with school representatives, as well as home visits by a school representative. Every member of a homestay household over the age of 18 years of age would also need to obtain a Working with Children’s Check card.

Brick-by-Brick Fundraiser

What is Homestay?
Homestay provides students with the best way to experience Australian culture and rapidly improve their English language. It is full board, and accomodation offered by a family, couple or single. Families are carefully selected according to International Education Division Guidelines.

Payment is $400 per week
Requirements
Live close to the College Provide 3 meals a day, including snacks Have a spare single room for students exclusive use, which includes a bed, wardrobe, desk & chair, lamp, linen and towels
Fee includes all water, gas, electricity, heating and cooling costs Internet costs English speaking is an advantage
