On the 13th of May 20 of our Year 10-12 students are lucky enough to go to a Health showcase. This is for students interested in careers & pathways in the health industries sector. Students will Investigate career pathways in the Health industries sector., tour the world-class Simulation@Holmesglen Centre and Interact with expert educators in the fields of allied health, simulation, pathology and laboratory services. They will experience active, hands-on participation and learn about Holmesglen's Bachelor of Nursing degree and other pathways to Health qualifications. They will also explore Vocational pathways options, including VET Lab Skills and Allied Health Assistance.
I will be starting Year 12 pathway interviews in May with all year 12 students. Please feel free to come and see me if you have any questions.
All Year 10 Students interested in work experience please come and collect a work experience form from me. Work experience is a great opportunity to secure a part time job as well as an opportunity to work within the professional field of interest, i.e.: Allied health, Law firms, and Beauty Industry to name a few. Once you have secured a placement you will need to complete the safe@work general and specific modules. I encourage students to secure a placement NOT during exam times or other school event dates.
