Term 3 Sport & PE Highlights
Term 3 has been an action-packed and exciting time in Sport and Physical Education at Moriac Primary School.
PE Program
Earlier this term, students enjoyed a gymnastics program delivered by YMCA, where they had the chance to build confidence, balance, and coordination in a fun and supportive environment. More recently, we wrapped up our whole school Jump Rope for Heart program with a fantastic Jump Off last Thursday. Students impressed with some amazing skipping performances, and a big congratulations goes to all who participated and helped raise money for this worthy cause.
SSA Sport
Last week, we were proud to see our students represent Moriac at Division Athletics:
- Olivia M (Grade 5/6) – 3rd place in Long Jump and 3rd place in the 100 metres.
- Archie D (Grade 5/6) – 1st place in Shot Put and 2nd place in the 100 metres, securing a spot at the Regional Championships.
Congratulations to both Olivia and Archie for their fantastic achievements!
We also had success in District Cricket last Friday, with our mixed team enjoying a great day out in Anglesea. The team not only had plenty of fun but also came away with a victory – well done to all involved!
