Middle School

As we approach the end of Term 2, we would like to thank all students, parents, and teachers for their ongoing support across the Middle School. It has been a busy and productive term, and we appreciate the strong sense of community that supports our students’ learning and wellbeing.
This term, our Year 9 students took part in the Man Cave and Big Sister incursions. These programs provided a safe and supportive environment for students to connect, reflect, and share their experiences. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the value of open conversations and feeling supported by their peers.
Some student reflections included:
“It was really good, the facilitators were really nice and made me feel comfortable talking.”
“My experience with the Big Sister program was really positive. It created a space to share, connect and build stronger relationships.”
“I found it really helpful to talk about things that are going well and things that are challenging. The support and feedback were very comforting.”
“It was a great experience we participated in activities and games. It felt like a safe space to share and learn more about each other.”
Our Year 10 students recently participated in the Character Builders workshop. This engaging, student-centred incursion focused on strengthening relationships, building teamwork, and fostering a sense of unity within the year level. Through interactive workshops, team challenges, and reflective activities, students developed important interpersonal skills such as communication, empathy, leadership, and collaboration. As they prepare for the transition into Senior School, the program also supported students in building strong peer connections and a sense of belonging during this important stage of their learning journey.
Year 10 students are currently undertaking their Semester 1 examinations. While these exams provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and understanding across a range of subjects, they also serve as valuable preparation for the expectations of Senior School. We encourage all students to do their best and approach this period with confidence and a positive mindset.
Once exams are complete, students can look forward to the upcoming Day Trips and Queensland Camp from Thursday 18 June to Monday 22 June. The final week of term will provide an opportunity for students to review their assessment and examination results, reflect on their progress, and receive feedback to support their ongoing learning.
We would like to thank you for your continued support!
