Leave

I will be taking leave for Semester 2 2026. At this stage the Department of Education has appointed Michelle Wallis to the position of Acting Principal from 13 July until 21 August 2026. They will undertake a formal statewide “expression of interest” process during that time. The subsequent appointment will be acting in my role until I return. I would like to thank the members of the Macleod College community for their support and ongoing trust. It is a great privilege to work with so many lovely people and a real honor to serve as College Principal.

Year 10: End of semester arrangements

Year 10 Exams: Tuesday 10 June until Wednesday 17 June
Year 10 Camp (Queensland or alternative local program): Thursday 18 June until Monday 22 June
Regular classes (Exam feedback): Tuesday 23 June until Friday 26 June

VCE: End of term arrangements

VCE Exams: Wednesday 11 June until Friday 19 June
GAT: Tuesday 17 June – Compulsory for all students undertaking a unit ¾ sequence
Regular classes: Monday 22 June until Friday 26 June

Semester 1 report timeline

Monday 13 July: Completed reports due in by 9am
Friday 17 July: Semester 1 reports provided to students and parents

Important dates early term 3

Student free days (no scheduled classes running on these days)
- Curriculum day: Monday 20 July
- Parent, student and Teacher conference (online): Tuesday 21 J 11am until 7pm

Austrian Club

Our annual concert at the Austian club was held on Thursday 28 May. It was a fantastic evening with lots of outstanding performances. It was particularly pleasing to see it so well supported with over 30 “standing room” tickets sold – all of the table were booked out!! Huge thank you to Ms Bodenham, Mr Griffiths and the instrumental music students and teachers.
