DnD Club

Mr Nicholas Heading

Wrapping up the semester, we wanted to remind people that Greensborough College has an active and thriving Dungeons & Dragons club here at the school!

If you have never heard of D&D, it is a little hard to describe. It’s like an adventure game, except that there is no screen and you play in a group with friends and roll dice. Every player has a character they control and use to play the game. Honestly, it is easiest to understand if you just come along and watch people play.

We have a dozen or so members with 2 games running now, which is a great success. Some students have lots of experience and know how to play the game, while others are still learning the rules and figuring out the basics.

The only hard part about D&D is getting started, so we started the year with a beginner’s group and a more experienced group for players who had previously played. The beginner’s group quickly figured out how to play by playing an introduction of dungeon-delving, fighting some creepy monsters, solving riddles, and surviving a boss battle. Now that both groups have finished a small game each, they are making new characters and all set to start a new and bigger game in Term 3.

We meet every Friday lunch in L1 and everyone is welcome to join. If you have any questions at all, just find Mr Heading and ask.

If you have never played before but are eager to learn, grab a friend and join in. We have availability for a new beginner group starting in Term 3 for those that have never played before. Get in quick!
