Senior School Report
Mr Anthony Ellul
It has been an incredibly busy and productive period for our Senior School community, with students continuing to impress us with their dedication, maturity, and commitment to their academic and applied learning pathways. We would like to congratulate all students who recently completed the VCAA General Achievement Test (GAT), which acts as an essential quality assurance tool used by VCAA to moderate school-based assessments and final exams.

Simultaneously, our Year 11 students recently undertook their exams, and the work ethic and behaviour demonstrated across the cohort was absolutely fantastic. It was pleasing to see students managing their revision timetables so maturely, so great work to our Year 11 cohort.
Our Year 12 students have also been heavily focused on future pathways, finding great value in attending the recent VCE and Careers Expo to explore a diverse range of tertiary, TAFE, and employment options. Furthermore, our Year 12 VM students ran a highly successful Market Day this term. The event was a brilliant showcase of teamwork, enterprise, and community spirit, with all the money raised being donated to charity.

Looking ahead, the highly anticipated Year 12 Formal is just around the corner and will be held during the upcoming school holidays on Wednesday 1 July at the Heidelberg Golf Club. This is a wonderful opportunity for our final-year students to dress up, celebrate their achievements so far, and enjoy a memorable social evening together. While the school holidays are an important time to rest and recharge, they are also a critical period for academic preparation. Year 12 students must use this time effectively to study and prepare for their fast-approaching final exams by actively revising course content, completing practice papers, and consolidating their notes so they return fully prepared.
Crucial to this preparation will be the upcoming Year 12 Parent Teacher Interviews, which are scheduled for Thursday 16 July. Bookings are now officially open on Compass, and it is incredibly important for families and students to attend. Receiving direct feedback from Year 12 teachers at this stage of the year is vital to help students target their revision and prepare effectively for their end of year exams.
Another major landmark in the Year 12 journey will take place. On Wednesday 5 August, we will officially celebrate the Year 12 100 Days milestone, marking the final countdown of their secondary education. To celebrate reaching this landmark, students will be dressing up as centurions for the day. It promises to be a fun and memorable cohort celebration, and further specific details will be shared with families on Compass closer to the date.
Thank you to all families for your continued partnership and support in keeping our Senior School students motivated, focused, and tracking toward their goals. Have a relaxing and safe break.
