Autumn Concert

As usual, the Autumn Concert provided audiences with great entertainment, showcasing all the school ensembles. The Swing Band kicked off the evening with an exciting performance of Woodchopper’s Ball, featuring wild solos by Cody and Emily. The junior ensembles gave their first performance ever and amazed everyone at how great they could be in such a short amount of time. The junior band gave a world premiere of James Newman’s piece, Rockin’ with JB.

Thank you to all those involved to make the concert such a great success. Particularly to the Music Captains (Tahlia and Cody), our College principal Tony Roberts for his opening remarks, parent helpers, stage crew (Leone and David), front of house team (Kylie), photographer (David) and the music staff (Sarah, Andrew, James, Ally and Marianne). A huge congratulations goes to the students for their excellent performances, reflecting hard work and commitment.

East Gippsland Music Festival

At the end of term, the East Gippsland Music Festival is on again in Orbost. All school ensembles will be involved in this. Different ensembles rehearse each day with the festival culminating in a Gala Concert on the Thursday night.
