Principal's Message

ear Parents and Carers,
It has been another rewarding fortnight at our College, highlighted by three outstanding events that showcased the talent, enthusiasm, and spirit of our students.
Last week I had the privilege of attending the Autumn Gala Concert which was a wonderful celebration of creativity and dedication. Our students delivered impressive performances across a variety of ensembles, demonstrating not only their musical abilities but also the confidence and commitment developed through many hours of practice. It was heartening to see students supporting one another on stage and behind the scenes. I extend my sincere thanks to our music team for their tireless work in preparing the students, and to the families who attended and encouraged our young performers. The evening was a true reflection of the dynamic arts culture within our school community.
We also held our annual Athletics Day this week, which was filled with energy, participation, and house spirit. Students embraced the opportunity to represent their houses with vibrant colour and creativity. Throughout the day the level of participation and encouragement was exceptional. Congratulations to all students who took part and to those who achieved personal bests or earned ribbons on the day. I would also like to acknowledge our Sports team, College staff and student leaders whose organisation ensured the event ran smoothly and successfully.
Today we celebrated IDAHOBIT Day in support of our LGBTQIA+ community, standing together as allies against discrimination and reaffirming our commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces where every member of our community feels valued, respected, and a true sense of belonging. It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity of our students, staff, and broader community.
I am incredibly proud of our Wellbeing and Inclusion teams for the care and leadership they show in supporting our students to become compassionate, respectful, and thoughtful young people. I also acknowledge our staff and students who consistently model kindness, acceptance, and inclusion in everyday actions. As Kane, one of our College Captains, so powerfully shared today, “We are a community, and we are stronger together.”
These events remind us that learning extends well beyond the classroom. Through music, sport, inclusion, and shared experiences, students continue to build confidence, resilience, empathy, and a strong sense of connection and belonging within the school community.
Thank you to our families and carers for your continued support of our College and the many opportunities we provide for our students. As the term progresses, it has been wonderful to see our students continue to grow in maturity, independence, and determination, both academically and personally.
Sincerely,
Tony Roberts
Principal
