It has been a fantastic start to Term 4 in year 1 with lots of exciting things happening.
In Numeracy we have been focusing on Mass and weighing objects using informal units and scales!
In Reading we have been focusing on our phonics knowledge and summarising a text by looking at the main ideas in the beginning, middle and end of Fiction and Non-Fiction texts.
In Writing we have begun writing information texts ‘To inform’ a reader. The students have really enjoyed learning new and interesting facts about different insects and animals.
In Inquiry we have been exploring biology and looking more closely at the insects and animals around our school yard by taking notes and sketching what we see on our school yard safari!
