Welcome back to Term 3!
It’s been wonderful to see the children return with big smiles, ready to jump back into classroom life. We’ve loved hearing about their holiday adventures and watching them reconnect with friends and routines.
We have many great things happening this Term in our school and for our Foundation students.
There is 100 days of school celebrations, book week and our dress up parade, school sports, grandparents' morning for Foundation, Father's Day and various liturgies along with other fun activities.
First, will be our celebration of 100 days of school!
This will happen in Week 3 on Wednesday the 6th of August – a flyer has been sent home to all families both online and a hard copy with information about this. Our students are very excited about this as we have been counting the days down since the beginning of the year.
In class, we’ve settled in quickly and are already busy learners.
In Literacy, we’re continuing to explore letters and sounds, and the children are beginning to stretch out their ideas into full sentences containing capital letters, spaces and full stops.
It’s exciting to see their confidence growing! Such a lot of growth in only half a year.
In Maths, we’re investigating addition, drawing pictures and using hands-on materials to build our understanding. There’s been lots of counting, sorting, and problem-solving going on.
Thanks as always for your support at home.
Please ensure your child brings their reader and diary each day, and don’t forget to label all clothing (jumpers) as we continue through winter.
We’re looking forward to a fun and busy term ahead!
Kind regards,
The Foundation Team
