Service

Trixie Kneebone, Year 12, Ridgeway Campus

The main goal of the Service and Outreach Committee in 2025 is to expand on the amazing work of the 2024 team in giving back to the community and building a sense of compassion and understanding for those in need. This year, there will be many opportunities for students interested in Service to get involved in, such as the popular 300 Blankets and Big Group Hug programs, World to Dinner Event, the Ration Challenge, house bake sale and free dress days. Stationary drives and food drives will also be run throughout the year to donate resources to our partners such as Big Group Hug, BANSIC and the IGS Cambodia Foundation. There will also be a range of new activities, such as a sleepout to raise money and awareness for the challenges faced by people who are homeless, and a special Earth Hour Celebration Day. We are aiming to have as many students involved as we can in Service in 2025, as it is a great leadership opportunity and an amazing way to gain real world knowledge and understanding. If you are interested in joining or contributing to the Service portfolio in any way or have a great idea that you would like to see put into place in 2025, please feel free to have a chat to one of the Service prefects Jayla, Trixie and Julian or Mr Do.
