Dyson Drive & Ballarat-Carngham Rd Intersection Closures

Stage 2 of major works to construct a new roundabout at the Dyson Drive & Ballarat-Carngham Rd intersection is underway.  Please be advised that Ballarat-Carngham Rd will close temporarily, west of the Dyson Dr intersection from 20th May 2024.

This closure is expected to be in place for up to four weeks, to allow for the construction of the northern side to the roundabout.  Detours will be in place via Dyson Dr,  Cuthberts Rd & Haddon-Windermere Rd. Please note: dates & timeframes of this closure are dependent on a range of factors, including favourable weather & site conditions.

Dyson Dr Access

During the Ballarat-Carngham Rd closure, access to residential properties & businesses will be retained. Dyson Dr will remain open to traffic in both directions. Vehicles will be unable to turn right from Dyson Dr on to Ballarat-Carngham Rd.  West-bound vehicles on Ballarat-Carngham Rd will be able to turn right into Dyson Dr.

Ongoing work disruptions

During the closure, shuttle flow & lane closures will be in place at times through the work site.  Delays are expected during works, particularly during peak periods.  Normal work hours will be between 7am & 6pm, Monday to Friday.  Some weekend work & night work may be required at times. Traffic management will include reduced speed limits of 40km/h to ensure the safety of construction crews & road users. Traffic management, including reduced speed limits, is in place to protect the safety of crews & road uses.
