House Spirit - you 'CAN' make a difference
The 2024 House Captains and leaders are running a ‘can’ drive competition to collect much needed food for the Ballarat Soup Bus. The Soup Bus is run by the Ontrack Foundation and “provides an after-dark meal service to Ballarat’s homeless and less fortunate through the cooperation and support of the Ballarat community.”
When - The food drive will run from Monday 3rd June – Tuesday 25th June.
How - All of the donated items will be passed on the Soup Bus at the end of the collection period.
The House that collects the most items will receive 200 points, second will receive 150 points, third will get 100 points and fourth 50 points.
The results will be announced at the whole school assembly on Wednesday 26th June.
Where - Drop your donated goods at the following locations:
Greenfield: Ms Pompe’s office, ground floor of the Sheehan Building
Baird: Mr Davies’ office, North Wing corridor
Lawson: Ms Eppingstall’s office, room 6 at the end of the North Wing
Brawn: Ms Kennedy’s office, Admin Building
What - The SoupBus currently needs the following items:
- Canned meals with ring tops
- Noodle cups
- Tinned vegetables
- Rice
- Nescafe (large jar)
- Long life custard
- Muesli bars
- Jelly packets any flavour
- Tea bags
- Milo
- Tinned tuna
- 1LT UHT Milk
- Cup of soups (all flavours)
