The Mighty Baird
Term 1 was a very busy term with so much happening: swimming sports, athletics day, music performances and art activities. The Term was a full one with opportunities for all students to get involved.
On 15th February the annual House Swimming Sports were held at the Eureka Pool. A great day of competition & fun was had by all - both in & out of the pool.

On 20th March the annual House Athletics Sports was held at Llanberris. The day provided the opportunity for students to compete in a range of track and field events including: long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin and a range of track events from 100m sprints to a 1500m event. Throughout the day, many achievements were accomplished by all students, from new personal bests to students setting new school records.
Well done to everyone who competed on the day!
The day also offered a range of other activities for students to participate in. Our wonderful art captains Keira and Jett organised a drawing workshop for anyone interested and house points were awarded to participants. The artworks produced will be formed into a collage and displayed throughout the school later in the year. We were also very fortunate to have live music from students in performing arts on the day, with every single one of them doing an amazing job.
Congratulations to all houses for great sportsmanship and to everyone on an amazing start to the year. We are now enjoying Term 2 activities to keep house spirits high where students earn points for their houses for the end of year House Cup.
