Five Hour Film Festival

On the 27th August, THS held our first ever student-led film festival! This event was a roaring success with so much creativity and leadership from THS students across all year levels. Leading up to the event, students got into small groups, planned, scripted and storyboarded their own unique film. They were then shot and edited in just 5 hours! 

Students had to deal with many issues that arose during the day, and worked quickly as time was running out! The incredible films were then screened at our red carpet event, with family and friends revelling in the brilliant work the students had done. Photos were taken, popcorn was eaten and the suspense was high. 

At the end of the night, tension filled the air as groups waited to see if they received an award for the hard work they had done, with the People's Choice award to end the night. Congratulations to the winners;  Best Director Sam A, Best Actor Isaac C and Best Screenplay Joe J. And a massive congrats to the People’s Choice Award winners: the team behind the film Day in a School Life. 

Overall, these 5 hours were challenging but incredibly worth it in the end and we can not wait to see what incredible films these amazing students will produce in the years to come.
